The Eurasian Bank also announced plans to release a payment crypto card that could be accepted in stores by the end of the year. The operation itself will be carried out in tenge from an account related to the client’s account on the Intebix exchange.

Now the financial institution is working with the National Bank of the potential risks of this project.

Recall that in June a special working group, which included representatives of the Ministry of Construction, the Central Bank and other regulators of Kazakhstan, approved pilot rules for cryptocurrency operations based on the Astana International Financial Center.

Licensed exchanges in cooperation with second -level banks are allowed to participate in the initiative .

The pilot is implemented over 2022. In case of success, the authorities will amend the legislation.
