The ex-head of VKontakte joined the project The Open Network

VK Vice President of the VK holding and the ex-head of the VKontakte social network Andrei Rogozov joined the team of the developers of the blockchain The Open Network (Ton). This information FORKLOG was confirmed in the press service of the project.

Rogozov will oversee the creation of services, including on the basis of the native Toncoin network token. Together with him, several more people will join the project, whose names are not yet called.

According to Andrei Rogozov, the Ton project is on the way to complete integration with the Telegram messenger:

“Now we are negotiating with the Telegram team, as well as with the teams of developers working on various projects”.

The Ton press service in the FORKLOG commentary confirmed plans to introduce its Telegram services, since it is a “excellent platform for the interaction of developers and users”.

“Integration has already occurred with the @Donate service, which allows access to private Telegram channels for Toncoin,” the project representatives added.

By the end of 2022, the developers plan to launch the Ton Payments payment system, the Ton DNS domain name is assigned, Ton Proxy Anonymizer, Ton Storage cloud data storage and a number of other solutions.

Recall that last week the Ton developers supported the rapper Morgenstern, who said that he invested 10 million rubles in Toncoin.

Prior to this, gratitude for the development of the project was expressed by the founder of Telegram Pavel Durov, adding that The Open Network does not depend on the messenger team.

In May 2020, Durov announced the closure of the Telegram Open Network project due to a trial conflict with the US Securities and Exchange Commission.

Subsequently, several independent teams of developers continued to work on an open code blockchain based. One of them was Newton, which later changed the name to The Open Network.

In August 2021, the Telegram team transferred the Ton domain to the project.Org and Github-Rooster.
